What is Photorejuvenation | IPL Photofacial?

Photo rejuvenation (or Photo facial) is a non-surgical dermal procedure that uses 3 laser wavelengths: YAG, Diode and Alexandrite to improve skin clarity and texture for a more even younger-looking complexion. Safe, fast and effective this treatment can be completed in as short a time as 30 minutes with no post treatment downtime other than slight redness and avoiding direct sunlight + wearing high factor UV protection.

Although it’s been around for about 10 years, it still remains one of the most popular treatments due to low downtime and effective results. We recommend 5 treatments one month apart to achieve optimal results, although sometimes 3 is enough. Brown spots get slightly darker and then disappear, red vessels disappear or get lighter and smaller, the skin becomes smoother as new collagen is built up and pores tend to appear smaller. If you have rosacea, your redness and blood vessels will be reduced and facial flushing will occur less often and less intensely.

How does Photorejuvenation work?

Photorejuvenation uses the power of IPL to gently reduce skin pigmentation and reduce uneven texture. The process itself carried out by Colin or another professional has you wear a protective set of goggles to protect you from the bright lights of the device. The sensation itself is best described as the snapping of a rubber band against your skin. It might feel strange at first but the feeling not register as anything higher than bearable.
